    Join us to learn more about what it's like to study physics, math and pre-engineering at Albion College.  These courses of study develop problem solving skills that are valuable for a multitude of careers.  Our dual degree engineering program allows you to get a great education in both the liberal arts and engineering!

    Schedule for the Math, Physics & Pre-Engineering Department Day:

    8:45 a.m. Register in Bonta Admission Center (100 N. Hannah St., Albion, MI)

    9:00 – 11:45 a.m.  Laboratory Exercise with Dr. Mark Bollman (Math), Dr. Darren Mason (Pre-Engineering) and Dr. Charles Moreau (Physics)
    For the first part of the morning, you'll work in the lab with Dr. Moreau on Musical DNA:  How Fourier analysis reveals the underlying nature of sound.  Later in the morning, you'll work with Dr. Mason on an analytical and computational demonstration of Fourier series.

    12:00 p.m. Lunch with Albion faculty and current students

    1p.m. Panel with current Physics, Math & Pre-Engineering Students

    2:15-2:45 p.m. Physics Department Seminar by Dr. Aaron Miller, Professor and Albion Alum
    Dr. Miller will talk about his research that formed the basis for his new company, Quantum Opus.  Quantum Opus is manufacturing quantum optical devices for data encryption.

    3:30 p.m. Campus Tour (optional)
