The Prentiss M. Brown Honors Program is designed for students who have broad interests, value independent thought, and possess good academic skills and discipline.  Students invited into the Honors Program take four interdisciplinary, discussion-based seminars that count towards the Core requirements for graduation.  In each seminar, students are introduced to “big questions” and encouraged to both think for themselves and to work with other students who share their excitement for learning. The program provides students with a stimulating variety of academic experiences as well as a first-year retreat, field trips to popular cultural events, and many student-initiated social events.  Participation in the PMB Honors Program may be combined with any major and with any of Albion’s career preparation programs in law, health professions, public service, sustainability and environment, or business.

The general standard for admission to the PMB Honors Program is minimum 3.6 GPA and ACT score of 26 (or transfer students need to have earned a 3.5 college GPA), though other factors, including quality of Honors essay and interview, will be considered.
