When asked what qualities they look for when hiring new employees, managers frequently list strong oral and written communication skills as among the most important. The skills we teach are among the most universally valuable and transferable skills a student can acquire and refine while in college. This uniquely positions Communication majors to excel in a variety of careers and to be capable of adapting to the changing world in which we live. In addition, a minor in Communication is an excellent complement to virtually any major.
