    Do you love to learn?  Do you love to discuss big ideas with others? Do you have a passion for service and education? At Albion, you will get into the classroom right from the start.  You'll practice four essentials for effective teaching - observation, inquiry, reflection and creativity - while designing and teaching your own interdisciplinary units!  A liberal arts education, with its particular commitment to exploring the interconnected nature of knowledge, is especially valuable preparation for future educators

    Schedule for Capstone Symposium on Teaching:

    2:15 p.m.   Campus Tour (Optional)

    3:00 p.m.  Registration in Bonta Admission Center (100 N. Hannah Street, Albion, MI)
     
    3:30- 4:15 p.m.  Join Dr. Kyle Shanton, Chair of Education, and others for a discussion about Albion's teacher education program.
    The Albion College Education Department offers elementary and secondary certification in a variety of majors.  Learn about the Albion teacher education experience from our talented and dedicated faculty and staff.
     
    4:30-6:30 p.m.  Capstone Symposium on Teaching
    Come see our students showcase what they have learned and accomplished while preparing to become a teacher. 

    6:30 p.m.   Dinner with Education faculty and students
    Learn about our program from a student's perspective!  It's a great opportunity to ask questions about what it's like to be a student at Albion College.
